Washington County Machine Shop (WCMS) began as a five-man operation
in 1966 based in Sandersville, Georgia. After almost 40 years as
a successful business entity, the company’s professional crew
includes over 100 full-time employees who perform specialized industrial
services throughout the Southeast. WCMS provides 24-hour emergency
service for all departments. A full-time safety program keeps our
personnel MSHA and OSHA trained for working on mining sites and
other properties.By developing quality programs, WCMS has earned
professional certification in the following areas:
- A.S.M.E. Pressure Vessel Fabrication (U Stamp)
- Boiler Fabrication (S Stamp)
- N.B.I.C Repairs (R Stamp)
- D.O.T Cargo Tank Repair
- HAZMAT Cargo Tank Inspection
SAFETY
WCMS has a certified MSHA safety instructor and director. All employees
meet or exceed MSHA and OSHA safety training requirements.
- All employees are required to attend a mandatory monthly 1 hr.
Safety meeting.
- All supervisors are required to hold weekly safety meetings
and discussions.
- All foremen are required to hold daily tailgate safety meetings
at the job before any work begins.
- WCMS maintains a monthly inspection of all its facilities along
with random job site inspections by the safety director.
